The Joel A. Gingras, Jr. Award
This award was established by the American Brain Tumor Board of Directors to honor the Joel A Gingras, Jr. Memorial Fund (The JAG Fund) and its more than 20-year commitment to, and unprecedented level of philanthropic support of, the American Brain Tumor Association and its mission.
The award is given annually to an individual, organization or group that, through philanthropy, advocacy, discovery or patient care, has had a major impact on the Association's ability to achieve its mission.

2020 | Priscilla Brastianos, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Physician in Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital |
2019 | Fern Bomchill and the Bradley Benton Davis Foundation – named after her son who passed away from a brain tumor. Fern has consistently given to the ABTA for the last 20 years. Multiple ABTA research grants haven been named for the Foundation. |

2016 | E. Antonio Chiocca, M.D., Ph.D, FAANS – Neurosurgeon-in-Chief and Chairman, Dept of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital – highly regarded physician, scientist and mentor and strong supporter of the ABTA. |
2015 | Paul Fabbri Memorial Fund Committee, Family & Friends, contributors to 11 research grants in memory of Paul Fabbri |
2014 | Lynne Adams, Trustee of The Butler Family Foundation and brain tumor survivor, for the Foundation’s 20 years of consistent support of the ABTA. |
2013 | Louis & Phyllis Jacobs, first supporters of ABTA’s Discovery Grant Program and advocacy for research in memory of their son Matthew Jacobs |
2012 | Dr. Steven Brem, Chief of the division of Neurosurgical Oncology in The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania - devoted his career to optimizing outcomes for patients with brain tumors |
